Top 5 Mobile Phones

5. Huawei Mate 9
The Huawei Mate 9 is a smartphone initially released onto the public marketplace in November 2016. It was referred to many times as the fastest phone on the market, and received generally positive reception. It is currently the closest android attempt at an iPhone-like product, as the Huawei Mate 9 comes built in with a fingerprint sensor, same screen size and many other features that make it virtually indistinguishable from the iPhone. Its cost is also a huge plus, as the later mentioned models all come with a hefty price.

4. Pixel
The Pixel was Google's latest attempt at a competitor phone for Apple and Samsung's dual share of the market. It received above average reviews for the most part; however, Google's lack of experience in mobile phone manufacturing definitely let them down. It comes in both standard and XL sizes, often contrasted against the two main competitors of Samsung and Apple. In many reviews, it was found the Pixel could not compete against the two; however, was stated as a great tertiary option.

3. LG G6
The G6 is a mobile phone manufactured by LG Electronics, which was announced in February this year. It has a unique shape, harnessing a 2:1 aspect ratio instead of the standard 16:9. This means the phone is much longer than other smartphones, making video watching quite ineffective. It's also quite inefficient when using android applications, as they're designed to be optimal on a 16:9 display. However, if the dimensions are not considered the G6 is an almost perfect phone. It has been compared to the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S8, and downplayed as the design of the two are admired a lot more than the aforementioned G6. The G6 has a less elegant appearance than the two. The G6 was a good step for LG, as it provided Samsung users that were weary of buying products after recent issues, a decent alternative.

2. Samsung Galaxy S8
The S8 is an android smartphone made by Samsung, praised for its design, software and camera quality. It's overall a much better attempt than the recent Galaxy Note 7 that plagued the Samsung name, and were detrimental to shares due to the incidents including phones melting and exploding without any expected triggering. The Galaxy S8 has nullified the potential occurrence of this, while improving upon the good design of the previous S7 model. The S8 comes in two sizes, standard and plus, and are always provided 64 GB in hard drive space.

1. iPhone 7
Developed by Apple, the iPhone 7 has been a major competitor on the retail market, with the majority of the recent release sales dedicated to it. It comes in two variations; standard and plus, both given a few hard drive space options. 128 GB is the largest size available, which is quite sufficient for a mobile phone in this day and age. The camera quality in comparison to the aforementioned phones is also substantially better. Unfortunately, its price is holding it back from being an extraordinary phone, as well as the lack of a headphone port. This is however forgo-able with selected accessories, that only add to the price issues. With all things considered, the iPhone 7 and 7+ get the number one slot on the list.
